During World War I, on December 24, 2014 (Christmas Eve), German and British soldiers in Flanders (northern Belgium) decided, on their own, to stop killing each other in order to allow everyone to celebrate Christmas ...
And they did, as in parts of the front line they even celebrated together, played soccer, and exchanged gifts.
At the end of Christmas, everyone returned to their national duties and killing was once again the order of the day.
Imagine for a moment what would have happened if all the soldiers had simply laid down their weapons and gone home at the end of the holiday .
There is another way ... make today a good day. 🙏🏼
