Beware of murderous clowns
In order to write this blog, I invested 3 hours of my time to watch the movie “It” (Stephen King, 1990) about a deadly otherworld entity that incarnates as Pennywise the Dancing Clown and preys on children.
I found the movie extremely disturbing, especially today – some 37 years after its filming, because it strikes very close to home, my home, in Israel/Palestine.
Kill and destroy as if it is your own
It is obvious and understandable that every single one of us (human beings) relates to the world around us, at first glance and first reaction, through our own eyes, ears, and experiences …
I contend that the natural state of being that all human beings desire is peace and well-being.
[Let us] put an end to war and suffering.
Rethinking our quest for peace
It’s time to stop making our quest for peace our first priority!
A few weeks ago I participated in the final meeting of a course conducted by “Combatants for Peace” (CfP, the organization brings Israelis and Palestinians together to co-resist the occupation and build a future of peace, equality, and freedom for all) titled “From Occupation to Reconciliation.”
There is no such thing as selective morality
I think that most of the people that I know are basically “moral” people. That is, that in their everyday interactions they will not intentionally harm, insult, disrespect, or steal from those around them. I know a good number of people that will go out of their way to relate positively to others and help them whenever possible.
